 JOB SUMMARY:

A Post University Admissions Counselor (in our Online Education Institute) is responsible for responding to student inquiries regarding admission to the University's online and evening & weekend programs in a timely and customer-focused manner.  You will need excellent communication, listening, customer service and sales skills to excel in this high volume, customer-driven position. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; however an equivalent combination of education, experience or training can be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in a higher education admissions and/or recruiting position with a consultative sales approach to successfully promote our program is desired.
  • Prior call center, customer service, marketing, and/or sales experience a plus.

Programmer/Analyst

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Full Time Data Management Specialist-Blackboard.

Job Summary:
We're looking for an experienced programmer/analyst to lead a number of strategic efforts planned for the next few years. You'll work with staff and technology representatives to develop new processes and refine current ones in support of the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, there are a number of projects that range from departmental to enterprise-wide that this position would be responsible for.

The essential job functions are:

  • Develop solutions that integrate diverse systems with Blackboard
  • Develop solutions for staff that will automate manual tasks related to maintaining and updating Blackboard
  • Provide staff and faculty with detailed reports and reporting capabilities
  • Document processes and develop ASP.net applications to automate those processes where possible
  • Using the software development kits and APIs that Blackboard provides develop meaningful applications in conjunction with business users' requirements for use with Blackboard and Blackboard Mobile
  • Oversee and coordinate some system administration in support of the Blackboard LMS
  • Use judgment in prioritization of work tasks and application of methods and processing functions
  • Review operational processes to enhance data and system accuracy, integrity and security
  • Make recommendations to minimize liability, improve efficiency and ensure consistency and compliance with University processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance and advice and serve as resource to and liaison between the Blackboard owners/Blackboard support and the Information Technology department
  • May provide support to University staff as needed

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
You should have 3-5 years experience as a programmer/analyst.  Additionally, you have a working knowledge of SQL base systems and:

  • 2-4 years developing ASP.net applications with an emphasis on experience integrating different database systems and workflow automation
  • 2-4 years experience with Microsoft SQL developing queries and stored procedures
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse user population
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must also demonstrate that they have curiosity and a desire to learn new things, are self-driven, is dedicated to documenting all of their work and is not afraid to think creatively.
  • 2-4 years experience integrating disparate systems

Enrollment Coordinator

Job Summary:
Responsible for the accurate and timely collection and maintenance of all admissions documents for new students through the creation of a filing system.  Responsible for updating the computer system when a prospective student meets the admission requirements of conditional or accepted status.  Attend weekly Enrollment Management Tracking (EMT) meetings and report on missing documents for each prospective new student.  Interface with admissions representatives, academic advising, prospective students, Financial Aid Representatives and Registrar to track and collect documents to complete student files. 

Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. (subject to change due to needs of the business).

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired or 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and complete understanding of confidentiality.

Job Summary:
The Student Accounts Processor- ADP reports directly to the Student Accounts Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing customer service to all ADP students via counseling students with payment plans, account balances, receipt of payments and problem resolutions, verifying add/drop status, and/or ensuring proper credit. Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, this position is responsible for partnering with admission leadership to identify sales training strategies resulting in accelerated revenue growth. Shuttle Bus Driver

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Shuttle Bus Driver. 

Job Summary:
The individual(s) will drive any vehicle considered The Post University Shuttle Bus on a Part Time basis.  The Shuttle Bus will be used to transport students to various locations throughout the Waterbury Area.  While the University houses students at a Hotel in the area there will be regular runs throughout the day to and from the Hotel.  There will be occasions when these drivers will need to drive to the airports servicing Post University, i.e. Kennedy, Newark, LaGuardia, Hartford and possibly Logan.  There will also be trips to major events in the area and cities like Boston, N.Y.C and Philadelphia, where it may be over more than one day.

Shift hours can include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Valid and update to date CT public service license.
  •  Public Passenger Endorsement "A" required; "F" preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
