Associate of Science in Accounting

With a solid foundation in accounting, you will be a crucial part of any organization’s success. With an A.S. in Accounting from Post, you’ll take focused courses that help you develop the skills and tools you can apply not only to a career path in a traditional accounting job, but also a variety of fields, including law enforcement, healthcare, government, sports, entertainment and more.   

You’ll learn one-on-one and in small classes, and your teachers get to know you and your goals. They are industry professionals who bring their experience in public accounting, corporate income taxation, accounting information systems, auditing, law enforcement and education to the classroom. 

Many of our graduates go on to complete a bachelor’s degree and pursue CPA and CMA certifications.

Students in the Associate of Science in Accounting degree program are introduced to concepts and principles that are the foundation of accounting. Through coursework, students will analyze, record, and interpret accounting information to support financial planning and decision-making. In addition to understanding the practical aspects of bookkeeping, students also will explore in-depth accounting theories and use those theories to evaluate real businesses. 

Graduates could seek employment as: bookkeeper, accountant, and payroll and billing clerk. Many graduates go on to complete their four-year degree and pursue CPA and CMA certifications.  

This degree program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
