POST UNIVERSITY WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENT

On September 27, Post University's Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Ronald W. Ogrodnik, Ph.D., as the next president of Post University. Dr. Ogrodnik succeeds Kenneth Zirkle, Ph.D., who resigned in August to care for his ailing parents.

With extensive experience in higher education and more than 20 years of human resource and management consulting experience, Dr. Ogrodnik brings a rich background to Post University. As both a professor and as an executive, he will lead the University as it continues to build on its reputation for providing high quality
student-focused, career-driven higher education.

POST UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW SCHOOLS STRUCTURE AND DEAN POSITIONS

As we embark on the next chapter of Post University's 120-year history, we are excited to announce that as of January 1, Post University will be reorganized into four schools. By creating a School of Business, School of Education, School of Public Service and an undergraduate Post College, we can better focus on educational outcomes within each discipline, align our undergraduate and graduate programs, and insure the overall academic integrity of all our programs.

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Don Mroz has been named Dean of the School of Business and Dr. Jane Bailey has been named Dean of the School of Education. We are currently seeking to fill the deanships for the School of Public Service and Post College, as well as directorships for graduate and undergraduate business programs.

SPRINT FOOTBALL TEAM HAS EXCITING FIRST SEASON

Sprint FootballOn October 30th, just one month after kicking off its first game, Post University's Collegiate Spring Football team played its first-ever homecoming game in Waterbury in front of more than 1,000 screaming fans at Municipal Stadium. The Eagles may have lost a very close game with a final score of 7-6, but the team's just-short efforts certainly buoyed the community's respect for the developing program.

Post University scored a 33-18 victory over Princeton University at Powers Field at its October 14th game, marking the first win in the team's brief existence.

Students looking to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Human Services can now earn their degree completely online at Post University.

Over the past 18 months, Post has added a new team of scholar-practitioners to serve as Academic Program Managers responsible for face-to-face and online teaching, outcomes-based curriculum development, and the supervision of adjunct faculty. This innovative hiring model has resulted in a team of creative, experienced leaders who are capable of guiding the development of a curriculum that can meet the changing needs of students and employers. All these developments will continue to have far-reaching economic and educational implications for the University, the greater Waterbury community, and area businesses.
