Columbia U's Teachers College Invites Post U to Present on the Future of Education

Post University's approach to online higher education has caught the attention of Columbia University's Teachers College EdLab. On Feb. 22, Frank Mulgrew, President of the Online Education Institute of Post University, led an EdLab session in the free-form, collaborative EdLab space within Columbia's Gottesman Libraries center in New York. The session lasted for more than two hours, generating many questions and lots of discussion among participants. >>Read more.

Dr. O. Alton Barron Named New Board of Trustees Chairman

On January 31, Post University extended its congratulations to new board of trustees chairman, Dr. O. Alton Barron. Our board unanimously chose him to take the helm, succeeding Mark Jennings, who will remain on the board as a member. Dr. Barron has been on our board since 2005, and has since been actively involved in our Finance and Operations, and Student Life and Athletics Committees. >>Read more

Carlos Nunes, who will become one of our newest Master of Human Services alumni next month, recently told us how he succeeded as an adult learner, and why, as he says, "there's no age limit for learning." Once Carlos graduates in May, he'll be starting the doctoral program at the University of Hartford in June.

Jim Nardozzi, Dean of Post College and Director of the Master of Public Administration program, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce's "Main Street Waterbury" downtown revitalization program.

As a community service, the University recently sponsored several free performances of the Post Theatrical Players' most recent production, Avenue Q. Some of the cast discussed the show in a recent WATR radio interview.

The 2012 Fireball Run Adventurally Northern Exposure is coming to Waterbury this year, and Post University is the title sponsor. Waterbury is one of eight destination locations for the event, to be held Sept. 21-29.

Post University held its second Online Learning Conference on April 20, featuring keynote speaker Steve Hargadon, a well-known education futurist.
