POST CELEBRATES THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF MORE THAN 850 GRADUATES
On May 4, Post University celebrated our largest graduating class to date, the Class of 2013, on a picturesque spring day on the Great Lawn of our Waterbury campus! This year, we held two separate ceremonies for our undergraduate and graduate students to accommodate the record number of grads.

With a cloudless sky overhead a sea of caps and gowns, and a colossal crowd of family and friends cheering them on, this year's ceremonies made for arguably one of the most memorable graduations yet. Congratulations once again to the Class of 2013!

MBA PROGRAM RECEIVES GOLD CONNECTICUT QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AWARD
. When it comes to our business school, the past year has been nothing short of monumental! In September, we announced the school’s naming after former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Malcolm Baldrige. Last month, we celebrated receiving national accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Now, we're proud to share that our Online MBA Degree Program offered through the Malcolm Baldrige School of Business has been awarded a 2013 Gold-Level Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) for Innovation.

This recognition, which is awarded to Connecticut organizations demonstrating "performance excellence and innovation," is an endorsement of the program’s focus on the principles of quality, leadership, and innovation. It is also further validation of the high quality of the MBA program, its students, and its alumni!

.Our alumni never cease to amaze us with their stories of going back to school while balancing all life's responsibilities – and surviving! Earlier this year we released the "The Adult Learner Survival Guide," an e-book inspired by your stories, designed to capture and share more just like them. Adult learners around the country have been buzzing about the e-book ever since, and we realized the need to continue encouraging the fastest-growing student population to reflect, relate, and celebrate!

Thus, the new and improved Second Edition was born – now complete with 10 additional stories, 10 original adult education cartoons, and data that shows the changing face of America's college students. You can get the e-book now exclusively on Amazon for $1.99, with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts and give back to the communities where adult learners live and work.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

.Our graduates constantly make us proud with their continued academic successes and professional accomplishments. But we’re also often impressed by the ways that so many of our alumni give back to their communities.

In addition to her role as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at St. Vincent’s College, alumnus Lisa Matarazzo (A.S. in Accounting) has a deep passion for keeping the arts alive and supporting local culture. To feed this passion, she recently launched a poetry open mic series called "The Spoken Word" in Waterbury, hosted on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at 1249 Winebar. The next event will take place on July 17, with guest speaker James Finnegan, West Hartford Poet Laureate. All local alumni are encouraged to attend an upcoming event, or apply to recite their work!
