University Health Services

Health Services is staffed by two registered nurses and can assist students by providing medical care, education and information related to health and wellness. The University physician is available on campus weekly and individual appointments can be arranged through the Health Services Office.  Health Services is also a resource regarding other health specialists and facilities available in the community.

The Health Services Office is conveniently located in West Hall Room 502 and is open Monday through Friday during the academic year. The office may be closed at times due to vacations, illness and other unforeseen events. Summer hours and semester break hours will be posted.

Health Services can be reached at:
Phone: (203) 596-4503
Fax: (203) 596-4542

All full-time students must have health insurance coverage. Students will be automatically enrolled in University’s insurance plan unless they complete a waiver on or before the first day of classes. Click here to fill out the online Insurance waiver form. Information about the plan will be sent to all students in June.  Payment for coverage is due July 15.

Full and part-time students are required by the State of Connecticut to show proof of two measles vaccine dates and one German measles vaccine date. Students who have not met State immunization requirements risk not being allowed to register for classes in addition to having their class grades held.

Full-time students are required to have a complete physical examination and updated immunization record on file in the Health Services Office.
