Academic Program Manager (APM) – BS in Human Services and Sociology Programs

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of APM for BS in Human Services and Sociology Programs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Post University is seeking an Academic Program Manager to manage the Bachelor of Science in Human Services (HSV) and Sociology (SOC) program. The individual will be required to perform three essential University functions: Course development, teaching, and program management in addition to other responsibilities as outlined by the University. The individual will report directly to the Dean of the School of Public Service.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in a field within or related to Human Services
  • At least five years of experience working in the human services field
  • At least five years of managerial experience in the helping professions preferred but not required
  • Experience teaching in the traditional classroom and online using Blackboard or similar programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to perform scholarly activities as appropriate when warranted or requested
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, well organized and a team player in a fast paced work environment
  • Teach 10 courses per academic year or as otherwise determined by the Dean of the School of Public Service
  • Participate in at least two university committees or as otherwise determined by the Dean of the School of Public Service
  • Work with a team of Academic Program Managers and university staff to maintain and develop the HSV program and curricula
