Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Faculty Academic Program Manager(APM) - Master of Education, Teaching and Learning.

JOB SUMMARY:

Post University is seeking a creative and innovative Academic Program Manager to lead and grow the Teaching & Learning program within the School of Education.  The successful candidate will be excited about the opportunity to shape the future of an online master of education program, create new undergraduate programs  and collaborate with a close-knit team that values creativity and innovation. 

Post University’s Academic Program Managers perform three essential University functions:  course development, teaching and all aspects of program management in addition to other responsibilities as outlined by the University. The individual will report directly to the Dean of School of Education. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Desire to shape the future of a regionally accredited career-focused educational  institution
  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in an education field related to teaching and learning
  • Prior K-12 experience
  • Prior or current relevant experience that shows 5-10 years of progressive leadership and innovation.
  • Teaching experience, preferably online and face-to-face
  • Creative course and/or program development experience, preferably for online courses or programs
  • Creative ability to apply principles of teaching and learning, as well as integration of technology into the online education environment
  • Teach 8 courses per academic year or as otherwise determined by the School of Education
  • Student-focused approach
  • Positive attitude and leadership ability
  • Experience using assessments to improve teaching or programs is a plus
  • Excellent written communication skills - ability to perform scholarly activities appropriate for a teaching institution
  • Knowledge of state and national teacher certification processes
  • Familiarity with Common Core Standards
  • Work with a team of APMs and university staff to maintain and develop School of Education programs and curricula.
  • Ability to relocate to Waterbury, CT area desired
