Admissions Counselor

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Admissions Counselor.


Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions has the primary responsibility to develop and foster good relationships with High School Guidance Counselors and Community College advisors in an assigned geographic area.  The Admissions Counselor will conduct professional information sessions with Guidance Counselors, Transfer Coordinators, prospective students, and their families on the benefits that a Post University career oriented college education will provide.  This position is responsible for attending and conducting college fairs, education seminars, briefings and increasing awareness about Post University within an assigned territory. As such, the ideal candidate will manage an assigned territory and participate in meetings and events, on and off-campus.


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to two years related and/or training experience required.
  • Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet applications and database software.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a team oriented, objected focused environment.
  • Understand and communicate the values of a career focused education.
  • Develop relationships with high school guidance counselors within an assigned territory.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of on-campus and off-campus inquiry generating events.
  • Professionally represent Post University within assigned territory at college fairs, college nights, and other regional and national conferences as directed.
  • Coordinate Campus visit program and supervise tour guides.
  • Build and sustain relationships within school districts to identify key contacts as well as issues affecting education within the district.  Recommend opportunities for outreach and promotion of Post University's programs and initiatives.            
  • Prospect high school and community college students within assigned geographical area and generate leads for enrollment.
