Marketing Communications Manager

As a Post University Marketing Communications Manager, you will work as part of a dynamic team to actively increase brand awareness and reputation through the development of PR and Marketing content for traditional and digital media. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of providing strong public relations, brand management, copy editing, and audience-driven copywriting expertise. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you also will be responsible for developing and implementing other strategic communications initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Only self-directed, creative individuals committed to producing high-quality work within stated deadlines need apply. This position requires a limited amount of travel, occasional weekend work and is located in our Philadelphia office.


  • Write and publish content for a variety of channels including, but not limited to, traditional print and broadcast media, social media, blog, and website
  • Collaborate with University thought leaders to write and/or edit and manage public relations and marketing content for the University website, blog, and marketing collaterals
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to provide content for branded and non-branded University websites, social media and news outlets based on industry and/or consumer trends/issues
  • Write news releases and other PR materials, and work closely with PR agency to coordinate media outreach, and monitor media coverage
  • Support Director of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer in efforts to execute a successful, strategic expansion of the University's brand


  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in the communications/public relations/marketing field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write and/or edit audience-focused copy for a wide array of print and digital media
  • Experienced at writing SEO-rich news releases and blog posts
  • Skilled at working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detailed-oriented professional with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet stated deadlines
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience using graphic design and video editing software a plus
  • Can-do attitude and good judgment
