About Post University

Post has a proud heritage of empowering students to take control of their lives, their careers, and, ultimately, to become leaders in their chosen fields. Since 1890, we have focused on creating an exciting, challenging environment where students learn about specific disciplines and about themselves and the careers available to them.

We focus on Each Student, Every Day, providing the resources for all to become models of personal achievement and innovative leaders. Our student-to-faculty ratio is fewer than 15:1, offering an ideal environment for learning about matters that make a difference in an individual's life and in the lives of others. Our dedicated faculty provides the right kind of personal challenges and support to make the difference between those who lead and those who follow.

The academic programs at Post University are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, using the same standards applied to such prestigious universities as Harvard and Yale. We are licensed by the State of Connecticut to grant associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in areas that include business, information technology, health, entertainment/sports, equine business management, security, and social services. In addition, we have a number of certificate programs that prepare individuals to practice specific specialties and that can be integrated into either an associate's or bachelor's degree.

Leadership is an essential focus for students, and they are given many opportunities to demonstrate their skills. These include both classroom and extra curricular activities, interacting and collaborating with other students, faculty, and staff. Competition on the playing field is taken literally, with sports at the NCAA Division II level offering another opportunity to "exercise" leadership.

To cement the ties between scholarship, leadership, and career opportunities, Post University provides job shadowing, internship programs, and summer co-op work opportunities. The Office of Career Services is an integral part of the community at Post, where we prepare students—and expect them—to take advantage of life's opportunities.

Post University occupies a 58-acre hilltop residential campus in the suburbs of Waterbury, Connecticut. Our campus and surrounding community offer a safe, scenic, friendly, and convenient home for students. Our location in the heart of Connecticut is easily reached via Amtrak's Northeast Corridor, as airline service to Hartford, and major interstate highways. Our campus has several large dining rooms, and residence halls offer accommodations ranging from single rooms to suites consisting of private rooms around a shared living and eating facility.

Students are encouraged to live on campus and participate in the social and community activities organized and managed by the staff of our award-winning Student Life Services division. The campus is wireless, and our electronically equipped classrooms are supported by dedicated IT staff with the latest computer and telecommunications technology.

From academic programs to career experiences to facilities, Post University simply excels. Its capstone to quality is a dedicated faculty that knows each student and the experiences needed to succeed in life.

At Post University, we focus on Each Student, Every Day.
