Biography

Academic Background:

  • Life Experience in Business, Marketing Advertising (20 plus years)
  • MA, BFA, AAS and attending sessions to receive MA degree.
Teaching Background:
  • Advertising – Marketing - Post University
  • International Marketing - Post University

Professional Background:

Professor Medaglia has experience as a Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Recruitment. He is currently working on 3 Green Projects with patients pending, as well as 1 book that is in the publishing stage. He has worked with companies such as Foot Locker, Inc., Woolworth Corporation, Kinney Shoes Corporation, and many other New York City Advertising Agencies.

Teaching Philosophy:

The overarching reason that Professor Medaglia has chosen to teach is based on the reward that he receives when “paying back” for what he calls “a rich and wonderful career.” He believes that every student brings a unique personality and strength to the classroom session and his gift and responsibility as a teacher, is to recognize and identify that uniqueness and encourage it to flourish and enhance the learning experience for each of the classroom participants. To Professor Medaglia, teaching is a gift which is a two sided proposition, teachers offer knowledge and experience and in return they receive valuable and enlightening lessons back from each and every student.”

Personal Background:

Professor Medeglia’s interests and hobbies include, hiking, camping, birding, gardening (traditional / marginal water and indigenous habitat restoration), community goodwill, journaling, and integrative medicine and wellness practices. 

Research/Academic Interests:

Professor Medgeglia is currently publishing a book based on the effective benefits society can reap by creating an indigenous habitat restoration effort on their properties landscape. In short, the benefits of reintroduction of North American Botanical Flowers when planned and implemented properly can be a multi-sustainable ecosystem for wildlife and low maintenance seasonal gardeners dream!
