Biography

Academic Background:

Eddy received her MBA with high distinction from Babson College, F.W. Olin School of Business.  Her concentration of study was in the area of finance and marketing.  She earned her undergraduate degree with distinction in both Economics and Administrative Science from Colby College.  

Teaching Background:

Eddy currently teaches in the business department at Post University.  She also teaches computer science in the Community College system and at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). Eddy has a passion for the use of technology in higher education.  She has focused on this work with the development and delivery of courses using the hybrid and blended learning teaching models.  Over the past 2 years, she has participated in numerous workshops, pilots, and training sessions with the State of Connecticut on the effective use of technology for teaching.  She was recently a guest speaker and workshop leader for executive education on the use of new technology at the Connecticut Library Association “Expand your Horizons” Conference. 

Professional Background:

Professionally, Eddy spent 15 years with the Digital Equipment Corporation, the $14 billion computer manufacturer acquired by Compaq and later by HP.  She held managerial positions in the corporate offices in Massachusetts, working in the areas of finance and marketing.  Eddy was promoted and relocated to Connecticut to work on complex systems integration technology projects with high visibility clients including Aetna, Pfizer, Travelers, Executone & U.S. Surgical.  She has worked in the nonprofit sector, providing fundraising services for a Connecticut educational organization securing large clients such as Macy’s, American Eagle and the Federal Credit Union.  Currently Eddy’s consulting concentrates on providing technological, sales, business and marketing consulting to clients in the real-estate industry, packaging industry and small business market.  She has been successful both in the tactical and strategic implementation of technology for clients.
