Joe SaccoBiography


Academic Background:

Teaching Background:

When Joe moved to New York in 1975 he was hired as an Adjunct Professor with the New York Institute of Technology teaching undergraduate sociology. Joe also taught courses at Suffolk County Community College, Southampton College of Long Island University and the College of Mount St. Vincent. He began teaching sociology part-time for Teykyo Post University in 1990 where he stayed until 1996, and is now teaching for Post University.

Professsional Background:

Joe Sacco worked as a research assistant and drug counselor for the RPC Foundation, a drug addiction research group.  Joe worked while he was going to school but eventually got a full time job as a Disability Determinations Administrator for the State of Florida SSI Program where he stayed for three years.  He also worked for the New York Life Insurance Company doing computer training and computer support when he was hired in 1996 full time with Electronic Data System Corporation which merged with Hewlett Packard Company.  Joe has been a Field Technician for the past 15 years working on different contracts such as: New York Life Insurance, Goldman Sachs, US Airways, United Airlines, and Royal Ahold of the Netherlands. 

Personal Background:

Joe has lived in Connecticut, Florida, San Francisco, and New York.
