Biography

Academic Background:

MS in Managerial Technologies, Summa Cum Laude, Johnson and Wales University

BS in Food Service Management, Johnson and Wales University

AS in Culinary Arts, Johnson and Wales University

Professional Background:

Cisek is a Tenured Professor at Naugatuck Valley Community College and has been teaching in the business division for 17 years. He is a Professor of Business Computer Applications. Cisek is the current owner of Teachers and Associates LLC, a technology based consulting firm that aids companies that look to introduce complex brands to the market place. His firm handles the introduction of the brand to various markets and assists in training the sales force and creation of on-line support materials.

Cisek is the current National Director of Education for the American Wine Society where he sits on the Board of Directors. In his position he is in charge of all training activities for the society where he also oversees the Wine Judge Certification Program. In addition, Cisek is the Current Director of Information Technology for the society.

Teaching Philosophy:

Cisek is passionate about creating a real world experience in his distance learning classes. Feedback is one of the most important assets a student takes with them as they matriculate through their degree program.

Cisek enjoys mentoring his students on a more personal level through the vehicle of internships at his Consulting Firm, Teachers and Associates LLC.

Professional and community activities:

Cisek is currently active in his local community with the Chamber of Commerce and considers it a necessity for all citizens to donate time on worthy faith based projects in the local community. He is the Current Faculty advisor to the Newman Club at NVCC.

Personal Background:

Cisek is an avid home wine maker who is passionate about photography, Video Editing, Cooking, Nutrition and Health & Wellness.

Research/Academic Interests:

Cisek's major interests are in the internet marketing, web design and software applications area. He is especially focused on business uses for technology to gain a competitive advantage.
