Academic Background:

  • J.D. 1987, University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor, MI.
  • B.A. with Distinction in All Subjects, 1984, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY

Teaching Background:

Suzanne Hard has served as an Associate Faculty member for Post University’s Legal Studies Department since March of 2011.

Professional Background:

Suzanne Hard works at Cohen, Burns, Hard & Paul in West Hartford, CT, a general practice law firm serving individuals and small businesses throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.  She handles matters in various areas, including copyright and trademark, immigration, criminal, and corporate law.  She has held previous positions in the area of energy law at Hogan & Hartson and Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, MacPherson & Hand in Washington, D.C.

Professional and Community Activities:

Attorney Hard serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the town of Avon, CT.  She is the head of the Loomis Chaffee Parents Association in Windsor, CT and has chaired several fundraising events for the Friends of the Avon Public Library.

Research/Academic Interests:

Suzanne Hard is married with three children and resides in Avon, CT.  She is interested in the evolving world of online and digital learning.  She enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, movies and humor.
