Academic Background:

  • M.S. in Criminal Justice Management from the University of New Haven 1992
    Professional Certificate in Public Administration
  • B.A. in Law Enforcement Administration from University of New Haven 1983
    Minor in Private Security

Teaching Background:

  • Online adjunct instructor at Post University since 2009.

  • Adjunct Instructor in the classroom at Sacred Heart University since 2006.

  • Mr. Wuennemann has also instructed at the Stamford Police Academy for recruits and In-Service training for over 20 years.  Topics he teaches include the U.S. Constitution, Police Authority and Discretion, Laws of Evidence, Laws of Arrest and Search & Seizure.  During his police career he has also presented at the national level including the Weed and Seed conference and PERFs’ Annual Community Policing Conference in San Diego.

Professional Background:

Mr. Wuennemann has been with the Stamford Police Department since 1984 and is currently a Captain in charge of Administration.  He has worked in Patrol, Narcotics, Internal Affairs and Communications Divisions during his career.  Earlier in his career he also was a Field Training Officer.

He graduated from the 221st session of the FBI National Academy in June of 2005 and is also a 2002 graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police conducted by PERF.
