Biography


Academic Background:

Instructor Tower received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology from Walsh College in North Canton, Ohio.  She also graduated from The Ohio State University with Master of Social Work degree and concentration in clinical social work.

Teaching Background:

Instructor Tower currently teaches at Post as an online adjunct member in the Psychology Department. She brings a wealth of real world experience in the field of psychology and related areas to her courses.

Teaching Philosophy:

Each student deserves an excellent education and it is Instructor Tower’s desire to accomplish that mission by providing quality teaching and effective support to her students.   

Professional Background:

Instructor Tower began her career in the helping professions after graduating from The Ohio State University in 1992. She started her professional career with the Lorain County Department of Human Services Information & Referral/Case Management Services. In 1996, she transitioned to the Ohio Department of Mental Health in Columbus, Ohio and focused on the Forensic Services and Community Linkage programs. From 2000-2004, she worked for the ODJFS in the Adoption Services Section. And since that time, Instructor Tower has been promoted to several administrative positions starting in June 2004 with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), Office of Families and Children, Child and Adult Technical Assistance, and Child Welfare Policy. Instructor Tower has also started the Tower Educational Consulting Group, Inc. since 2010.

Personal Background:

Instructor Tower has four nephews and three nieces.  She enjoys reading, exercising, playing and watching sports, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
