Post University, a great place to start your future

A lot has changed since Post opened its doors in 1890. Back then, people with a college degree were the exception, not the rule. Today, many companies won't even consider hiring employees without a college education. And it's no longer enough to simply get your degree. Graduates have to have a vision and a plan for managing their careers. They need to have leadership skills and the ability to apply what they've learned in class to a fast-paced, highly competitive global marketplace.

Today's businesses are looking for graduates who can apply and adapt what they've learned to fit the ever-changing demands of the market. That's why we focus on preparing you to make the connection between scholarship and leadership. Post University students are not just "book smart" when they graduate, they're "career smart".

At Post, we empower students to take control of their lives and ultimately to become leaders in their chosen fields. We offer an exciting, challenging environment where students not only learn about specific subjects, but they learn about themselves and the careers available to them. Perhaps most important, we have the resources and faculty needed to make sure each student gets the personal attention they need to succeed.

Our student to faculty ratio is less than 15:1, which creates an ideal environment for individual achievement. We believe that each student has something to offer and something to learn. So, we've created an environment where students are encouraged and expected to become confident, competent, self-directed and competitive participants within and beyond the classroom.

At Post, students participate in a robust Co-Op program where they have opportunities to participate in real-life work situations related to their field of study before they graduate. This gives Post students a real competitive edge over other college graduates. Our very active Office of Career Services plays an integral role in preparing students to take full advantage of life's opportunities. We also provide many ways for students to learn, grow and lead in extra-curricular activities or as part of our many NCAA Division II level sports.

The academic programs at Post University are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges using the same standards applied to other top universities. We are licensed by the State of Connecticut to grant associates, baccalaureate and master's degrees in a number of areas including business, information technology, health, entertainment/sports, equine business management, and security and social services. In addition, we have a number of certificate programs that can be integrated into either an associate or baccalaureate degree.

Post University occupies a 58-acre hilltop residential campus in the suburbs of Waterbury, Connecticut. Our campus and surrounding community offer a safe, scenic, friendly and convenient home for students. Our location in the heart of Connecticut provides convenient service from Amtrak's Northeast Corridor as well as airline service to Hartford. In fact, we're just 90 minutes away from New York City and two hours from Boston. The residence halls range from single rooms to suites, consisting of private rooms around a shared living and eating facility. This is in addition to our campus' large dining room.

Students are encouraged to live on campus and participate in the social and community activities organized and managed by the staff of the award-winning Student Life Services division. Post's campus is wireless and our electronically equipped classrooms are supported by dedicated IT staff with the latest computer and telecommunications technology.

From academic programs to career experiences to facilities to personalized attention, Post University excels at providing students what they need to achieve their career goals.
