University Makes Scholarships Available to Greater Waterbury Branch of the NAACP
In an effort to make college even more affordable, Post University has established a scholarship program with the Greater Waterbury Branch of the NAACP.
In partnership with the local branch of the NAACP, Post University will provide ten (10) $5,000 scholarships to qualified students who apply to and are accepted to Post University for the Fall 2009 academic year.
The scholarships will be renewable for four years provided the recipient continues to make satisfactory academic progress.
Recipients of these scholarships also may receive Post University academic and/or athletic scholarships, as well as any federal financial aid for which they may be qualified. They will not be eligible for the Post University New Haven or Litchfield County scholarship program announced in May or the scholarship awarded to Waterbury residents.
Qualified students who apply to Post University beginning June 3 are eligible for
this new scholarship program. The funds will be made available to new freshman students who are accepted and choose to enroll in Post University’s undergraduate program at its Waterbury campus.
The scholarship program was announced by NAACP Branch President Monroe Webster at the annual Freedom Fund Awards luncheon on May 30th. It is open to students who are members of the Greater Waterbury branch of the NAACP and apply for admission to Post University beginning June 1.
