Area Companies to Share “Green” Products and Ideas for More Sustainable Living
In honor of Earth Day, the Post University Sustainability Committee will hold a “Go Green” event to boost awareness of “green” products and share easy ways people can help preserve the environment.
Apple Computer will share information on its new “green” notebook computer; Honda of Watertown will bring a hybrid vehicle; and Staples, John’s Refuse and Recycling, and other area companies will be on hand to share information on green products and their efforts to go green.
In addition, the day will include a hands-on recycled paper-making demonstration, seed planting workshop, tap water challenge, access to educational materials, carriage rides, organic food choices, and raffles where participants can win “green” products. The university also will hold a bottle and can drive with all proceeds benefitting the Sustainability Committee’s efforts to promote “green” living.
