Delaware Accounting Requirements

Examination candidates must have earned at least:

  • An associate's, baccalaureate or master's degree, and

  • 21 semester (31 1/2 quarter) hours in accounting with at least one course in each of the following:

Introductory Accounting
Intermediate Accounting
Advanced Accounting
Cost Accounting
Audit
U.S. Federal Taxation


Correspondence courses, on-line courses, and distance courses are acceptable towards the U.S. Federal taxation requirement only. These courses must be taken through a regionally accredited school.

Educational requirements must be met at the time of application.

Candidates with foreign educational credentials must have their credentials evaluated by Foreign Academic Credential Services, Inc.
