Requirements to Sit for the Mississippi CPA Exam

There are a few basic requirements that you must meet in order to qualify to sit for the Mississippi CPA Exam. The first requirement to sit for the Mississippi CPA exam is that the candidate must have earned at least a baccalaureate degree with 150 semester hours. Within these 150 hours the Mississippi CPA Candidate must have earned a minimum of 24 semester hours of upper level or graduate level accounting credits, and 24 hours of upper division of graduate level general business credits. Candidates will need to visit the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy to see what specific courses are required, as this list is periodically updated. Mississippi CPA Candidates do not need to meet an age requirement, nor do they have to meet any state residency or U.S. citizenship requirements.
