Professor Huxley worked in corporate settings in financial reporting, information systems consulting, and in internal/operational auditing before joining Post. Her primary focus of academic and professional interest is in management accounting and information systems. Her current research project involves the use of GIS information to develop a financial planning model for small towns.
Teaching Philosophy:
Professor Huxley believes every student brings a unique package to the classroom and her responsibility to see that she offers appropriate opportunities for their success. Accounting is a challenging field, and guiding students in how to approach the material is fundamental to their achieving good results from their efforts. She uses student feedback each semester, and with each course, to make changes that students suggest that may improve their outcomes. She believes it is her responsibility to help students organize and focus their efforts so they are better able to achieve their goals. Finding ways to improve student success is a passion for Professor Huxley.
