Claude is currently a Blackboard Learn and Blackboard Learn "Mobile App" Faculty Pilot Team member in the Connecticut community college system. With an emphasis on instructional design and technology, Claude studies the process of teaching and learning, applying new methods to both traditional and online education. Her courses utilize a blend of learning techniques, designed to enhance the educational experience as well as improve the student's results.
Teaching Philosophy:
Claude has a love of learning and a passion for people. She enjoys learning new technology applications and teaching them to others. She helps learners "make sense out of the chaos of technology." As someone who finished her undergraduate education as a mid-career professional, she has a deep understanding of what it means to be a student while managing a career and family obligations. Because of her background as an online student, she knows what it takes to be successful in that environment and helps her students achieve their own success. In keeping with that experience, she knows what students expect from their teachers and is committed to guiding the student through the learning process.
