Teaching Background:
Attorney Cynthia C. Anger is an Associate Faculty member for Post University’s Master of Public Administration program.
Professional Background:
Attorney Anger was admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut in 1986; the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1990; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1993. She is presently employed by the State of Connecticut as a Superior Court Magistrate and serves as an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry National Regulatory Authority.
Attorney Anger has more than 20 years experience as a full-time city attorney. She has appeared before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate courts and has extensive litigation experience. In addition to being a practicing attorney, she is a certified zoning enforcement official.
Attorney Anger has provided legal advice to public sector Management representatives on labor issues arising under collective bargaining agreements in matters pertaining to employee discipline, interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and prohibited practices. She has also initiated and successfully led efforts to unionize non-represented municipal employees.
Professional and Community Activities:
Attorney Anger is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. She is a founding member and Vice President of the Farm Preservation Alliance and is actively involved in local politics.
Personal Background:
Attorney Anger lives with her husband, two teenage children, and their Italian truffle dog, Fenway. She enjoys listening to live music, playing the piano and attending the theater.
