Teaching Philosophy:

Professor Watson’s philosophy of teaching is founded on the belief that ALL students can learn and those of us who have the privilege to serve them must work feverishly to help them grow and evolve to their fullest potential.  In her courses, she sees herself as a facilitator or guide whereby she implements developmentally appropriate practices that are academically challenging, multisensory and rigorous. She believes in the Chinese proverb that states, “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand.” Professor Watson hopes to inspire students who are conscientious and passionate to join her in the field of early care and education and to become educators of future generations.
