Biography

Academic Background:

• Master of Arts, Curriculum and Instruction - University of Connecticut
• Master of Business Administration, Marketing - University of Connecticut
• Bachelor of Arts, Political Science - University of Connecticut

Teaching Background:

Richard Fasanelli has served as an Associate Faculty member at Post University since October 2011.

Professional Background:

Richard Fasanelli brings approximately 35 years of Marketing and Sales Management experience to Post University.  His previous employment history includes work as a Consultant in a Sales Development and Marketing Practice.  Fasanelli is a former Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a $400 million private consumer packaged goods company, and former Vice President of Marketing with a $1.2 billion public CPG Company.  He also held the titles of Director of Sales Development, and Director of Brand Management for other corporations, and created and trained a modern brand management team for a former elected City Legislator in Stamford, CT.

Teaching Philosophy:

Fasanelli has a strong belief that students construct their own knowledge, and the role of the teacher is to provide the tools, the safe environment and relevant real world wisdom.

Personal Background:

Fasanelli enjoys his family time, including traveling and walking with “Snickers” the active Wheaten Terrier.
