Our mission is to provide our students with the knowledge, personal skills and experiences required to become leaders in tomorrow’s careers.  We prepare each student every day to be confident, competent, and competitive participants in the global market place.

Innovative and quality instructional experiences:  Since 1890, Post has demonstrated its ability to adapt to the ever-changing world and enable our graduates to thrive. The expertise of the faculty and their instructional designs make our commitment to quality possible. Post’s faculty and staff consistently emphasize the introduction of new technology to the classroom. This commitment to apply industry-current technology to the delivery of quality instructional experiences is extended to students, whether they choose to study on campus, online, or at one of our remote campus locations.

Career-oriented curriculum enriched by the liberal arts:  We prepare students for careers in the 21st century by combining the power of a career-focused education with the richness of the liberal arts. We have expanded our elective courses in the liberal arts in line with our commitment to expose our future graduates to a challenging and enriched multi-disciplinary education.

Personal development and self-awareness: We provide an enriched environment and resources for students to understand themselves and how they fit into the world of career opportunities.

Interdisciplinary leadership:  The leadership core that ALL students will complete combines an understanding of basic business concepts that apply to all organizations whether non-profit, for profit, or governmental, with real world applications of leadership theory. This core fosters creative thinking in graduates that is essential to the identification and pursuit of opportunities.

Community of learners:  Through involvement in clubs, organizations and leadership positions, students will acquire knowledge of organizational management, organizational behavior, personal leadership skills and strategies for goal achievement. By living and learning in a diverse cultural community, students will gain the requisite skills to excel in a world where understanding of other cultures is essential to success. Through the assumption of leadership positions students will gain a sense of purpose and personal accountability. Post’s required community service experiences enhance the student’s appreciation for the importance of giving back to the local and global community.

Cooperative education (Co-Op):  The Post Co-Op Plan enables students to apply classroom theory to practical career experiences prior to graduation.  Learning through experience is an important part of the educational process at Post.  Students are provided opportunities to secure positions with business, industrial, governmental, and other organizations across the country that partner with Post.

Athletics as a career tool:  Post’s athletic programs support the overall career development mission of the University.  Students participating in athletics and in our NCAA Division II programs are exposed to leadership roles in a competitive environment where individual self-awareness and discipline are also developed. In addition to experiencing teamwork and camaraderie, students are challenged to overcome obstacles, and to establish and achieve their personal and professional goals.

Preparing students to be the CEO’s of their futures:  Post University is dedicated to helping students understand their personal qualities, use newly acquired knowledge and skills, and develop an enduring appreciation for lifelong learning.
