Founded in 1890, Post University's mission is to provide students with the knowledge, personal skills and experience required to be leaders in their chosen fields.


Post University offers 22 undergraduate and 4 graduate degree programs, as well as a host of certificate programs.

In addition to offering undergraduate degree programs on its traditional campus in Waterbury, Connecticut, Post University offer undergraduate and graduate Accelerated Degree Programs through the Online Education Institute of Post University. Accelerated degree programs courses are offered in eight-week modules, six times a year.

Post University added its first master's degree program in 2006. The Master of Human Services degree is offered completely online, and during evenings and weekends at regional locations in Connecticut.

In 2007, Post University was the first university in Connecticut to offer a completely online MBA degree programThe program was among the recipients of a prestigious 2009 and 2013 Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Silver Innovation Prize, and is currently the second largest MBA program in Connecticut. The program includes concentrations in Corporate Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Leadership, Marketing, Multi-Disciplinary and Project Management.

Post University added a Master of Education online degree program in 2009, which includes concentrations in Teaching & Learning, Instructional Design & Technology, Higher Education Administration, Online Teaching and TESOL.

In 2011, the University added an online Master of Public Administration degree program that includes a unique blend of master-level business and public administration courses.


The University's Main Campus is located in Waterbury, Connecticut, and is home to approximately 800 undergraduate students.

Post University also has regional locations in Danbury, Wallingford and Waterbury..


Post University's more than 16,000 full- and part-time students come from the United States and abroad.  In addition to the 800 students enrolled on the University’s traditional campus in Waterbury, Connecticut, more than 15,000 adult learners are taking accelerated courses through the Online Education Institute of Post University. 


Post University is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. Post University also is licensed by the Connecticut Office of Financial and Academic Affairs for Higher Education.

The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).


Post University offers 19 competitive NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s athletic program.

In 2009, Post University was the first New England University to be admitted to the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL).

The University also has competitive Dressage, Hunt Seat and Western riding teams, and a new cheerleading program.


Post University's Military Program provides support to Active Duty, Veterans and Military Dependents who have the option of taking classes completely online regardless of where they're stationed, on our Waterbury campus or at one of the University's regional locations in Connecticut.

Post University has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Department of Defense, is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, and is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity College Network. The University also has formed a partnership with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) and the U.S. Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit (NORU) to provide higher education opportunities to Soldiers and Sailors while they serve.
