Founded in 1890, Post University's mission is to provide students with the knowledge, personal skills and experience required to be leaders in their chosen fields.
Post University offers 17 undergraduate and 4 graduate degree programs, as well as a host of certificate programs for on-campus and online students of all ages. Â
Through Post University Online, adult learners can enroll in Accelerated Degree Programs that are offered in 8-week modules, six times a year. Students have opportunities to take courses completely online, at one of the University’s five regional locations, or a combination of both.
Post University was the first university in Connecticut to offer a completely online MBA degree program. The program, which was added in 2007, was among the recipients of a prestigious 2009 Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Silver Innovation Prize.
In 2009, Post University added a Master of Education online degree program with concentrations in Teaching & Learning, and Instructional Design & Technology.
In 2011, the University added a Master of Public Administration degree program that includes a unique blend of master-level business and public administration courses.Â
The University’s Main Campus is located in Waterbury, Connecticut, and is home to approximately 700 undergraduate students.
Post University also has regional locations in Danbury, Meriden and Norwalk.
Post University’s 6,000 full- and part-time students come from the United States and abroad.
Post University is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.Â
Post University is licensed by the State of Connecticut through the Department of Higher Education (DHE).
Post University offers 15 competitive Division II Men’s and Women’s athletic programs.
In 2009, Post University was the first New England University to be admitted to the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL).
The University also has competitive Equestrian and Dressage team.
In 2009, Post University extended its commitment to serving military students by joining the Yellow Ribbon Program. Military personnel now have the option of taking classes completely online regardless of where they’re stationed, on-campus or at one of the University’s regional locations in Connecticut.
